Business Planing for the NHS
In this session, doctors will learn the 8 step plan process for producing a sound business plan within current NHS frameworks. Working in groups, they will have opportunity to produce a business plan summary based a real-life case scenarios.

Duration: Half-day

Methods: Interactive lecture and demonstration supported by visual and auditory aids. Practical business-planning exercise in which attendees produce draft plan.

Suitable for: Those healthcare professionals who are currently in roles involving business planning and those who aspire to do so.

Objectives: Attendees will learn the importance of the eight step approach to effective business planning for the modern NHS. Time will be spent putting the principles they will learn into action in the form of a draft business plan produced to address issues highlighted  in a fictitious NHS Trust. Peer review of draft plans.
