Presentation Skills
Time will be spent looking at the principles involved in the preparation,
structure and delivery of both professional and medical case presentations. Doctors will learn how to cope with the inevitable nerves these situations can
initially generate.
Duration: Half-day
Methods: Interactive lecture and demonstration supported by visual and auditory aids.
Suitable for: Those doctors who regularly need to deliver group presentations as an ongoing part of their work or those who seek a position requiring the ability to present well. Those people who would like to be able to speak confidently in public at social functions and gatherings not work-related.
Objectives: Attendees will learn the importance of preparation in formulating effective and persuasive presentations. Time will be spent highlighting and discussing the importance of: subject research, audience research, structure and content, effective use of visual aids, dress, body language and question handling. We will also cover the importance of venue, room layout and equipment.
